Another great dining option in our village … Auberge des deux Pins (Inn of the two Pine Trees).
The closest to fine dining of the four options - price is higher than others, but within range.
Book ahead to get a nice table on the lower terrace (warmer months) and inside near the log fire off-season.
Kids appear to be welcome - but feels more appropriate for adults.
About 10 min further (walking) than the centre of our village.

A “must-visit” spot!
Les Gorges du Verdon are one of the unofficial wonders of France and only just over one hour from our villa.
Pass through the gorges (and back) by boat or pédalo.
Make it a full day trip by combining it with the lavender fields in Valensole (depending upon the time of year).
Good options for breakfast, lunch or early supper en route.

One of the best things about staying in Aix-en-Provence is how easily you can swap city streets for places like this.

The Verdon Gorge is doable as a day trip, and getting out on the water by kayak or pedal boat is one of the best ways to experience it.

Today I’m sharing with you another very good restaurant option, La Maurette.
It’s a longer walk than the centre of the village - and a little more expensive but there’s a huge choice and massive portions of good quality food on the evening menu.
Great atmosphere in the evening in summer - esp if you can reserve a table in the outside seating area.
Celebrate a teenager’s birthday with the Monster Burger (I will dig out a photo).
PS - no dogs, but there may be a work around.
PPS - the €20 menu looks like weekdays lunchtime off-season
