The box pest has unfortunately finally reached the ends of the earth ( finistere), forcing us to fell our two (!!) giant box trees (30+ ft high). My heart ached. But there is a silver lining: the courtyard feels much larger and the view is great.

Another Kerargon chapter comes to a close: we will be transferring the Longere to my brother-in-law and wife as of end of the year. But the Manoir is still open for rental and of course the beautiful courtyard is there for all guests. And the new addition: a gazebo waiting to be covered with climbing roses soon!

Our Story

Kerargon-by-the-sea is a historic farmstead set down a private drive just minutes from the endless beaches of Finistere, Brittany. The houses have been renovated to accommodate large groups seeking a home away from home. Melding historic charm with modern comfort, the houses offer well equipped kitchens, newly modernized bathrooms,and individually styled rooms. They are furnished to welcome my family, not as they might be for unknown visitors. In addition to the spacious courtyard facing south, each house has its own private garden with terrace and barbecue. The Longére (max 12 persons) and Manorhouse (max 14 persons of which 2 must be children in a bunk bed) are rentable on a weekly basis. And, as this is my encore career and long-time passion, you are welcome to share my favorites and experience, even my enthusiasm for the area if you wish. Just ask....
