Location
The yurt is situated on the boundary of a 5 acre site in a small village. Nestling between an historic mound and an oak forest, the yurt benefits from a sheltered location, which ensures tranquility and seclusion, where guests may relax listening to the sounds of nature. The views of

the Pyrenees from the mound are beautiful, with the impression of peaks stretching from coast to coast. Living space
The yurt is 7m diameter, with the hand-made sweet chestnut framed dome providing a wonderful feeling of spaciousness. The occuli can be left open during hot, dry weather, which allows you to look up at the sky and see the stars at night, and helps to ventilate the yurt, keeping it cool. The living space is furnished simply and comfortably, with double bed, table and chairs, cupboards and drawers. In addition to the main double bed there is also a futon which folds down to sleep an additional 2 people, if required. Books, fiction and non-fiction, walking guides and maps of the area are provided, along with general tourist info. Kitchenette with sink, 4 ring gas hob, fridge, microwave. The yurt is eco-friendly, with a solar panel providing solar powered lighting. Private, separate bathroom with hot water for shower and basin, and composting dry toilet. Private, decked area and BBQ.

"The chickens and cats kept a safe distance as we had our dog, Diva, with us - she really enjoyed herself; I think she thought she had died and gone to heaven, she was was laughing and playing all the time - but of course we made sure that she respected the other wildlife :-) The local walks were great including a big lake for her to swim in."

We wanted to be to lazy and just hang out, so Rebecca organised us the most fantastic selection of food from the local market and also cooked for us on a night. We felt very spoilt, eating such fresh, straight from the garden produce. I can still taste the broad beans and fresh eggs now!! ..."
