The stay at Michelle's was particularly pleasant with charming hosts with whom it is pleasant to chat. The house and the garden are large and allow the children to play with enthusiasm. The swimming pool (raised) is safe (everyone is on foot) and is of reasonable size. A whirlpool bath is available, also very pleasant. A nautical base is a few kilometers away with clean and well-maintained access to a lake in which you can bathe. In summary the stay was restful, pleasant with charming hosts. The hosts have two friendly dogs who follow and play with the children all day; it reconciled our children with the dogs, appreciable.

“Le séjour chez Michelle a été particulièrement agréable avec des hôtes charmants avec qui il est plaisant de discuter. La maison et le jardin sont grands et permettent aux enfants de jouer avec entrain. La piscine (surélevée) est sécurisante (tout le monde a pied) et est de taille raisonable. Un whirlpool bath est à disposition, également très agréable. Une base nautique est à quelques kilomètres avec un accès propre et bien entetenu à un lac dans lequel on peut se baigner. En résumé le séjour a été reposant, agréable avec des hôtes charmants. Les hôtes possèdent deux chiens, gentils, qui suivent et jouent avec les enfants toute la journée; cela a réconcilié nos enfants avec les chiens, point appréciable !”

This charming property is set in 2 acres of private garden with open views of the beautiful Charente countryside. It can accommodate single travellers or groups of up to 8 guests whether it is for one night B & B stays or longer holidays to explore the area.

We have a 2 bedroom Gite which sleeps up to 4 people and is fully equipped for self catering, and two comfortable B & B rooms - one en-suite - with Continental breakfast included and tea and coffee facilities in each room. Children welcome and a cot is available on request.

There is an upstairs Guest Lounge and Games Room with pool table, games, book and music for all guests to enjoy. Tea and Coffee facilities are also provided in this room.

There is use of a private outdoor swimming pool during summer months and a hot tub set in a private area of garden for you to relax. Or you may choose to explore the Charente countryside and all it offers.

Nearby, are the Lacs de Haute Charente, where you can swim in the man made lakes and relax on the beach or participate in the water sports on offer. We are only a few miles from two 18 hole Golf Courses. There is go-karting, horse riding, cycling and bird watching all within easy reach. If you want to take things more slowly, there are chateaux nearby, Roman Baths, the famous village of Oradour Sur Glane, a fabulous weekly market at Piegut, the picturesque village of Brantome and the fabulous Cognac houses all a short drive away. Plus so much more!!
