Set among forests, lakes and pastureland in southwest France, Domaine des Etangs, Auberge Collection has partnered with iconic French bootmaker Le Chameau to help guests explore the estate in every kind of weather. Borrow a pair from the château’s boot room, follow winding woodland paths, and look out for the estate’s Limousin cattle and local wildlife along the way.

For a slower kind of discovery, try Sacred Roots: a 75-minute journey at Le Moulin spa, pairing a guided forest immersion with a garden-inspired foot ritual using herbs from the estate’s organic kitchen garden.
