A year and a half ago, a journalist came to visit who was writing a book about farmers with innovative approaches. The book has now been published, and our farm is mentioned a few times in connection with regenerative agriculture and holistic management.
One particular piece caught my eye:
REDISCOVERING THE FARM »
They are restoring soil life, they are in their thirties, forties or older. They have come together as a group from other horizons, or they have inherited conventional farms which they sometimes transform radically in a process of repair and reconstruction. All of them — men and women, whatever their background — converge on one central idea: that of “rediscovering the farm” — as one of them puts it — in its fullest dimension of polyculture and livestock farming: the most diversified farm possible, with a significant share of direct sales, and in which the interactions benefit everyone: human beings, animals, and plants alike.
