For those coming from Toulouse ... and from Villefranche de Lauragais: take the departmental road 611 towards Castelnaudary. Cross Avignonet de Lauraguais, pass Labastide d'Anjou and continue straight ahead WITHOUT TAKING INTO ACCOUNT the panels Mas-Saintes-Puelles. Always on the departmental road, between Labastide and Castelnaudary, on your right you will see grain silos, in a field: this is the place called MALBOUISSOU. For those coming from Carcassonne: take the Route de Toulouse (departmental 611) in the direction of ... Toulouse! Half way between Castelnaudary and Labastide (about 3 km from the ESSO station that you will see on your left after the Giant CASINO), locate the grain silos on your left. Be careful, to go to MALBOUISSOU, do not cut the departmental but you "inquire" on the right in a small loop that will allow you to cross the road safely. When you take the small road that leads you to MALBOUISSOU, you will very quickly find yourself with 2 possibilities: or go straight or turn to your right. Pourquoi le chat noir a-t-il presque toujours quelques poils blancs sous le cou ? L’Histoire donne la clé de ce mystère, confirmée par la génétique.

Au Moyen Âge, en Europe et particulièrement en France très chrétienne, les chats noirs ont mauvaise réputation : sorciers compagnons des sorcières qu’ils accompagnent la nuit au Sabbat, ou diables incarnés en personne, ils sont condamnés par l’Église et les propriétaires, excommuniés. L’Inquisition (créée en 1233 par le pape Grégoire IX) se montre impitoyable et le peuple qui peine à survivre n’a pas notre sensibilité contemporaine.

Les procès d’animaux sont dans les mœurs du temps, mais le cas du chat est particulier. Il n’est pas jugé pour tel ou tel méfait, supposé ou réel. Symbolisant le Diable, il est fatalement criminel…Et haro sur le chat ! Tous les chats noirs sont visés. C’est quasiment un délit de sale gu**le. Brûlés dans les bûchers, crucifiés aux portes des maisons, noyés par sacs entiers, la race a quasiment disparu.

Par miracle, quelques poils blancs sous le cou pouvaient sauver la bête : « marque de l’ange » ou « doigt de Dieu ». Une superstition valait même protection : arracher un poil blanc portait bonheur !

Voilà pourquoi la plupart de nos chats noirs ne sont pas tout noir : descendants en même temps que rescapés de ce génocide, ils portent un discret médaillon blanc, souvenir d’une vieille et tragique histoire.

Quand je vois mes maus, et tout spécialement mon Jimmy, qui va se poser avec tellement d'amour sur toute personne qui arrive ici pour la soulager exactement là où elle a mal, là où il y a une tumeur... là où il faut exactement et qui lui prodigue tant de bienfaits et de soulagement.... alors certains chats aussi ont droit au titre d'humanité ! PS: mon généreux Jimmy a soigné tant de gens qu'il a aujourd'hui un cancer.... il a pris, tellement pris de douleurs en lui, donné tant de bien-être qu'il semble qu'il le paye aujourd'hui au prix de sa vie.... Pour l'instant il est encore là et ne peut, hélas, plus soigner personne.... il essaye de tenir le coup.
