Given reasonable notice, we are happy to provide a small a la carte menu for latecomers, and a fully catered picnic where it suits. Originally built by M Gaspard Dominique Dupius between 1750 and 1765, 76 Rue Pierre Ledent was sold in 1793, the second year of the Revolution, to M Lagache, an Apothecary, and over the following 193 years played its part in providing pharmaceutical services to the town of Montreuil. More recently, the current owners have sympathetically restored this magnificent maison du charme to its original function, reflecting its unique heritage, most noticeably in the delightful 18th century parquet floored drawing room, where the original panelling, fireplace and four Watteau-style frescos can be found.

BREXIT - What changes?

Concerning us, Brexit should in no way change the way we approach this market.

Brexit is more of a brake on freight, not tourism.

For tourism, the health crisis is much more worrying than Brexit.

No big changes for the British who will still want to travel for tourist purposes, and this as soon as it is deemed safe by their government. No major effect including on administrative issues:

VISA: no visa required, the passport will suffice. All English people already travel with their passport, the vast majority already have one. The length of stay must not exceed 90 days accumulated per period of 180 days: non-binding
DRIVING LICENSE: obtaining a European driving license: £ 5.5 available at post offices in Great Britain: non-binding
TRAVEL INSURANCE: Britons will no longer be covered by the European Insurance Card and will therefore need to be insured before traveling. Frequent travelers, Travel Insurance is already a reflex for them: non-binding
TRAVELING WITH YOUR PET: need a UK passport for the animal (and no longer a European passport which will no longer be valid) + the animal must be microchipped (already required before Brexit) + novelty a vaccination certificate ( vaccine 21 days before travel). It is advisable to make an appointment with the veterinarian 4 months before the trip to ensure the compliance of the papers / procedures: binding

La Tanière

Je n'ai pas posté depuis un moment, néanmoins M76 grince toujours et en attendant, pour quelques privilégiés, nous avons ouvert un bar à whisky et à cigares dans le grenier

I haven’t posted in a while , nevertheless M76 is still creaking along and in the mean time for a select few we have opened a whisky & cigar bar in the attic ‼️
