First ski of the winter season for us today!

The winter season 2022/23 has come to an end with amazing conditions for the last week. It is also our last winter of running the B&B, so we would just like to thank everyone for coming to stay with us, not only for this last season, but to many of you that have come regularly. We've appreciated your support and you've made our "job" much easier. We will miss you, but are looking forward to the next stage in our lives. Have a great summer all!🥰

A few interesting numbers from Les Gets now that their season has finished. Thought it had been a busy one!

WINTER 22 IN NUMBERS: Les Gets - Page Officielle have just published their annual review of the winter season, which followed a 21 month period of closure for the resorts ski lifts.

A whopping 7.8 million ski lift journeys were logged on the Les Gets network this winter, making this the fourth busiest season on record.

Travel restrictions between the UK and France during the festive period hit the resort hard, yet there was a ‘massive catch up’ when the rules were finally eased on 15th January.

69 team members involved in the operation of the ski lifts were absent due to COVID, representing 500 man days, yet 100% of all Les Gets lifts stayed open throughout.

The season was dominated by sunshine and cold temperatures, which meant the snowpack could be retained until the very last day of the ski lifts.

COVID 19 UPDATE: It’s been an absolute pleasure keeping you all updated on the in-resort practicalities off the Pass Sanitaire and Pass Vaccinal this winter, but it was also very exciting to delete most of our ‘Your Holiday in , and ’ web guide just now! (Link below) From tomorrow, both health passes are suspended, simplifying life for everyone.

Here’s a little recap of the current COVID-19 practicalities in and in case you’re heading our way this weekend!
😷 Face masks are still compulsory when you’re in the centre of each village, whilst in ski lift queues and on the ski lift network, plus in shops and when moving around a restaurant or cafe. It’s pretty bloody cold out here right now so mask wearing is causing us zero problems!
💃 There’s table service in bars and restaurants until 16th Feb when stand-up drinking and dancing returns. It’s all very civilised and there’s a great atmosphere in bars so your apres will still be lots of fun.
🧪 Testing at our local pharmacies is a super efficient procedure right now, especially if you’ve booked in advance via the Doctolib app
👍 We’ve covered the Pass Sanitaire / Pass Vaccinal arrangements many times but they’re also on our website if you’re still unsure. Checks at ski lifts are frequent, in case anyone’s wondering!
