If you’re taking a late summer holiday in Morzine/Les Gets some handy info regarding what’s open and when.

🇬🇧 It’s not over yet! But here’s a reminder of the Summer 26 season closing dates ☀️

💦 Morzine’s swimming pool .morzine moves to its autumn opening times (12noon to 7pm Monday to Friday, 2pm - 7pm at weekends) on Monday 31st August
💦Lac des Ecoles Lac des Écoles - Les Gets in Les Gets remains closed because of the bacteria situation
💦 Aquariaz closes on 28th August until the winter season
💦 The dedicated swimming lake at Lac de Montriond is supervised until 30th August

🚲 Morzine Bikepark 🌲 is open until Sunday 13th September
🚲 Les Gets Bikepark is open until Sunday 13th September
🚲 Avoriaz Bikepark has a staggered closing between 31st August (final day of full opening) and 13th September

🫕 Restaurants, bars, cafes and shops across the villages will slowly begin to close down for their autumn break, but you’ll always find somewhere to dine and drink!

💦 La piscine de Morzine passe à ses horaires d’automne (12h00 – 19h00 du lundi au vendredi, 14h00 – 19h00 le week-end) à partir du lundi 31 août
💦 Le lac des Écoles aux Gets reste fermé en raison de la situation bactériologique
💦 Aquariaz ferme le 28 août jusqu’à la saison d’hiver
💦 La zone de baignade aménagée du lac de Montriond est surveillée jusqu'au 30 août.

🚲 Le Bike Park de Morzine est ouvert jusqu’au dimanche 13 septembre
🚲 Le Bike Park des Gets est ouvert jusqu’au dimanche 13 septembre
🚲 Le Bike Park d’Avoriaz connaît une fermeture échelonnée entre le 31 août (dernier jour d’ouverture complète) et le 13 septembre

🫕 Les restaurants, bars, cafés et commerces des villages commenceront progressivement à fermer pour leur pause automnale, mais vous trouverez toujours un endroit pour manger et boire un verre !

The view from above! Who’s tried the via ferrata in Avoriaz? We had a fun afternoon with Bureau des Guides Morzine-Avoriaz discovering the course on the cliff face in Avoriaz. No experience necessary as the guides will provide all required equipment and ensure a smooth traverse of the course.

Summer event - Spartan Morzine! Now a summer event staple, Spartan obstacles will take over Morzine and the surrounding trails from the 3rd - 5th July. Race lengths from 5km to 50km, for a challenge like no other! Or cheer participants on as they race past

Summer events - Pass’Portes
2026 is the 21st edition of the Pass’Portes, a now iconic event signaling the start of the Summer season here in the Portes du Soleil. An 80km bike ride covering France and Switzerland, using the local lift network to help cover as much of this incredible area as possible. Entertainment and food stops along the way, make it an incredible experience. This years event is held over 3 days 26th - 28th June, with routes for electric bikes, gravel bikes, walking routes and a kids route too.
