We're a small, perfectly formed campsite and three gîtes in the heart of la Loire! Great for family and friends to visit, whether campers or not!

Oh, and we're consistently voted in the top 100 campsites in France according to ACSI! A collection of ancient farm buildings, beautifully renovated and comfortably furnished for your enjoyment. Rent by the week or longer. Short breaks are possible in low & shoulder seasons. There's also a small (but perfectly formed) campsite here too, so there's a holiday suited to everyone's budgets! Héron & Chardonneret are suitable and adapted for wheelchair disabled guests, as is the campsite showerblock. There's no excuse not to visit! :)

Well, we've just had a lovely week with them here at Le Chant d'Oiseau along with two of their boys, Ben and Daniel.

My poor little mower has been working overtime this afternoon. We've mowed some tracks in the field by the river that lead to some picnic spots. The aim is to mow down here on a weekly basis to keep the pathways clear. In time, it'll become flatter and less prickly as the new grass grows through. The sound of the water flowing over the rocky beds is just so soothing. We do hope some of you will get down there with your picnic blankets, baguettes and cheeses!

We just love it when days begin like this. A beautiful day for a drive in the sunshine to a riverside restaurant, perhaps? How about a bike ride to the village? Or what about a lazy day on site? A swim in the pool? Read a good book under the willows? A walk along the lane before a sizzling bbq?

What à beautiful morning. Today we have a couple of pitches free if anyone is in the area.

On site, a lovely mixture of English, Dutch and French campers. We just love days like these!
