It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that our beautiful, brave Cass passed away yesterday.
Many of you will have met her, some more than once, and will know just how much we loved her.
She had fought a long battle against a serious heart condition for over 3 years, but in the end it was a tooth abscess (we couldn’t operate, of course) that took her a week after it was diagnosed by our vet.
Anyway, Cass passed very peacefully at home yesterday evening (after a very difficult day). Our vet kindly came out to the house and we were by her side. Izzy, Joy and Koko then were able to come in and say their goodbyes.
In the photos you see the terrified 2-year-old in the rescue center in Southern Ireland back in 2013. The other photo was taken a few months ago ….. our beautiful, confident girl living her best life for nearly 13 years here at La Belle Vilaine.
