The panels under the front stairs are being painted and the gap between the window frame and stone has been pointed. The windows ho back in today 😀

One side of the two windows finished. I am very pleased with the results. The other sides will soon be done. Whilst sanding, repairing and painting the windows, you spend hours up close to them. I would think about the guy who made them, 100 to 150 years ago. Of course long gone, I wondered what he was like. Then of course you think of all the people who have restored and repainted these windows of the last century. Again, many long gone too. Then I got to thinking that in the future decades somebody else will be sanding down my paintwork and repainting them once again. Nice to be a part of the history 😀

First window is all sanded down and the new putty has been put in. Now for the next window.

The temperatures are so high at the moment that it is only possible to work inside. All of the windows in the chateau have been restored, except for those at the back of the chateau. So, today I have started work renovating the windows in the Grand Salon.

After cutting the grass in the front gardens I stopped to take a few photos. Sometimes you need to stop and admire the beauty. Clairbaudières is so peaceful and each year the gardens just get nicer and nicer.
