‘It is not about the trophy you may win but the person you become along the way’ Winning the 2023 Young Leaders Award brought Magali Brandariz new opportunities, greater responsibility and what she calls the most important professional year of her life.

In the fifth and final episode of Season One, Magali looks back on representing Argentina and shares how the experience continues to influence the way she leads today.

Now Chief Concierge at Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and President of Les Clefs d’Or Argentina, Magali continues to invest in the profession and support young concierges finding their own place within it.

From the hotel lobby to airport leadership, Maurits den Dulk’s concierge career has taken him far beyond the traditional desk.

In the fourth episode of Season One, he looks back on the experience of representing The Netherlands in Dubai and the role it played in shaping the career that followed.

Today, as Lead Operations for Privium and the VIP Centre at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Maurits leads teams dedicated to giving travellers greater privacy and quiet luxury throughout their airport journey.

His story shows that the Award isn’t a final destination. Sometimes, it opens a door to a career you hadn’t imagined for yourself yet.

Les Clefs d’Or Award 2026 honoring Adolf Schneider goes to Unwana van der Werk from Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam and representing Les Clefs d’Or The Netherlands.

The award was presented during the Gala of the UICH International Congress in Sydney, Australia on the 16th of April 2026 where 500 members from around the world attended. ⁣
⁣
The Les Clefs d’Or Award was first established at the 55th Les Clefs d’Or International Congress in Denmark, 2008, as the “Andy Pongco Award” to honour the memory Andy Pongco. The award aims to recognize and encourage young members to become active participants in the worldwide society. The prize for the recipient of the award is an invitation to the next Les Clefs d’Or International Congress (registration and airfare included). All countries were encouraged to nominate one of their promising young members and this year we received 19 nominations. ⁣

All candidates engaged in a friendly competition where they complete tasks such as written essays and history presentation, professional video, travel blog, and live interview onsite with members of the Award Committee. The candidates’ personal presentation will play a major part in the final outcome of this friendly contest. ⁣
