Before welcoming guests as La Clef Louvre, the building that now houses our hotel opened its doors in 1909 as the Royal Palace Hotel, designed by architect Constant Lemaire. 🏛️
Located at 8 Rue de Richelieu, just steps from the Comédie-Francaise Theatre and near the Avenue de l'Opéra, it was created for international travellers, with around 100 rooms, a restaurant, suites, and hot and cold water in every room. Very luxurious for that time. ✨💫
Back then, guests would write letters to their loved ones, sharing the memories of an extraordinary stay in Paris.
Today, you can write your own letter and continue this beautiful tradition, more than a century later.
A little piece of history, waiting for you to leave your own words behind. 📬
