In September 2019, Banyan Tree Phuket, flagship property for Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts proudly celebrates 25 years, so let the celebrations begin!
Thirty+ years ago, Banyan Tree founders purchased a vast expanse of coastal land in Phuket, Thailand punctuated by lagoons of the most intense cobalt blue. Only to discover that its beauty came not from Mother Nature, but the pollution by the previous tenant, a tin mine. Rather than walk away, they dedicated themselves to cleansing the acid-laden soil by planting more than 7,000 trees. In doing so, they transformed this ecological wasteland into the first environmentally sensitive Banyan Tree resort in 1994.
This was the birth of Banyan Tree Phuket, a sanctuary for the senses with a vision to offer guests a naturally-luxurious, ecological, culturally-sensitive experience. 25 years and numerous awards later, Banyan Tree Phuket is proud to showcase unique guest journeys including an exclusive Wellbeing experience at Banyan Tree Phuket’s Spa Sanctuary Villas adhering to the new trends of a holistic approach to mind, body and soul.
2019 will be a year of celebration where Banyan Tree Phuket focuses on product enhancement as well as an enormous yearlong celebration with guest events, associate activities and anniversary experiences & offers.
