The village, Ploerdut, is well placed for exploring this beautiful part of Southern Brittany; from Medieval towns, World War II Submarine pens in Lorient to the unspoilt beach coastline, as well as some lovely man-made lakes - Lac de Guerledan, near Mur de Bretagne and Lac de Belle l'Air in Priziac.

This amazing Bistro is something special! It's just a short 10 min drive away, or 30/ 45minute bike ride (depending who's cycling!).

Lorient is a 40/45min drive from the house. Lots of unspoilt beaches stretch along the coastline. Gorgeous :-)

The sun has finally come out making me think about the Summer Hols! 😎Have you booked yours yet?

I've had a few enquiries about our House in Southern Brittany, so thought I'd let everyone know about 2023 Summer Availability:

From 4pm, July 16th - through to October 2023.
Changeover day is Sunday or Wednesday (if staying for 10 days). Arrival from 4pm, departures by 10am.

£560 for one week,
£785 for 10 days (Sunday to Wednesday, departing by 10am),
Prices include beds made up for you, kitchen towel and T-towels, oven gloves etc.
We ask that guests bring their own towels and beach towels.

Useful info:
Sleeps 8 comfortably: The hoouse is on 3 levels: top floor - one double ensuite whirlpool bath bathroom leading to a bedroom with two single beds. King ensuite shower bedroom.
Middle floor has a bedroom with two single beds and a family bathroom, as well as a sitting room.
Bottom floor has a playroom, kitchen and downstairs loo.
Child travel cot and toddler high chair/booster seat available upon request.
Outside al-fresco dining table and chairs for 8, swing seat, wooden children's climbing frame with slide, grass space for badminton etc and plenty of space to relax.

This characterful, tranquil house is set in a lovely, rural village and all local amenities within a 2/3minute walk of the house. Village tennis court, a 10/15min walk. Local lake, in Priziac (see post about this lake on our page) is a 10 minute drive. The coast is a 40 minute drive away, beaches near Lorient 45 minutes. Medieval town Pontivy is a 20 minute drive and picturesque village of Gueneme sur Scoff is a 15 minute drive - with the closest supermarket.

Travel: Brittany Ferries: Portsmouth to St Malo (2.5hr drive to house), to Caen (3.5hr drive), to Cherbourg (4hr drive) Plymouth to Roscoff (1hr 45 drive to house). Guests can take advantage of 10% off their ferry booking with Brittany Ferries - do contact me for details about this if interested.

Airports: Brest is 1hr30 drive from house Rennes 2hr. Flight routes are now starting again - for latest information do check websites.
