Comme tous les ans, je vous propose un petit retour sur l'année qui vient de s'achever.
Une année 2025 de transition et de ralentissement pour notre Maison d'Hôtes après deux années (2023 et 2024) intenses en terme d'activité.
2025 était également une année symbolique pour nous deux car je fêtais mes 70 ans et Claude ses 55 ans mais également nous fêtions nos 30 ans de vie commune et nos 10 ans de mariage.
En mai nous avons voulu célébrer tous ces anniversaires.
Nous sommes partis en Polynésie pendant 3 semaines à la découverte des îles Marquises (oui nous sommes allés sur la tombe de Jacques Brel et de Paul Gauguin!), les îles de la Société et les Tuamotu. Ce fut grandiose et nos têtes sont pleines d'images magnifiques et de superbes rencontres.
Mais il a fallu revenir et la saison a véritablement commencée début juin.
En juillet en plus du plaisir de recevoir nos deux petites-filles pendant une semaine, j'ai eu le bonheur de partir quelques jours en Autriche, à Vienne, avec mes trois enfants. Découvrir cette superbe ville, ses trésors et sa gastronomie avec eux, fut un réel moment de joie qui s'est achevé en apothéose par un concert Mozart et Strauss dans l'orangerie du château de Schönbrunn. Magnifiques souvenirs. Merci à eux trois pour ce si merveilleux cadeau qu'ils m'ont offert pour mon anniversaire.
La saison fut donc assez courte mais nous a malgré tout permis de faire de très belles rencontres mais nous a aussi permis de retrouver quelques uns de nos voyageurs qui nous ont fait le plaisir de s'arrêter dans notre petit havre.
Notre maison s'est refermée mi octobre pour se reposer et se refaire une beauté afin d'être pimpante pour la prochaine saison qui débutera en avril pour s'achever mi septembre.
2026 sera la dernière année d'ouverture de notre Maison d'Hôtes, année qui clôturera 10 saisons d'activité.
Alors en attendant et en ce début janvier, Claude et moi vous souhaitons une très belle année, de grandes joies et de grands bonheurs. Que 2026 soit l'année de la réalisation de tous vos souhaits et de tous vos projets tant personnels que professionnels.

As I do every year, I would like to take a moment to look back on the year that has just ended.
2025 was a year of transition and slowdown for our guest house after two intense years (2023 and 2024) in terms of activity.
2025 was also a symbolic year for both of us, as I celebrated my 70th birthday and Claude his 55th, but we also celebrated 30 years of living together and 10 years of marriage.
In May, we wanted to celebrate all these anniversaries.
We went to Polynesia for three weeks to explore the Marquesas Islands (yes, we visited the graves of Jacques Brel and Paul Gauguin!), the Society Islands and the Tuamotu Islands. It was magnificent and our heads are full of beautiful images and wonderful encounters.
But we had to come back and the season really started at the beginning of June.
In July, in addition to the pleasure of having our two granddaughters stay with us for a week, I had the good fortune to spend a few days in Vienna, Austria, with my three children. Discovering this beautiful city, its treasures and its cuisine with them was a real joy, culminating in a Mozart and Strauss concert in the orangery of Schönbrunn Palace. Wonderful memories. Thank you to all three of them for this wonderful birthday present.
The season was quite short, but it still allowed us to meet some wonderful people and reconnect with some of our travellers who were kind enough to stop by our little haven.
Our house closed in mid-October to rest and spruce itself up so that it will be ready for the next season, which will begin in April and end in mid-September.
2026 will be the last year our guest house will be open, marking the end of 10 seasons of activity.
So, in the meantime, at the beginning of January, Claude and I wish you a very happy New Year, filled with joy and happiness. May 2026 be the year in which all your wishes and plans, both personal and professional, come true.
