The historic fourteenth century Priory at Pressigny, recently renovated and now available to hire by the week for families and groups of friends, Saturday to Saturday, or for shorter b&b breaks, depending on the season.

The bees are flocking to different shrubs in the garden! I’m no David Attenborough, so excuse when I don’t keep up with them, but glorious to see so many happy at work in the garden! They arrived shortly after I moved into Le Prieuré and have been living in the medieval chimney ever since. The chimney from the boiler goes up inside it, so they are cosily warm in winter and have been happily in there for nine years, making honey I can’t get too!

The garden is full of humming bird moths, bees and I’ve seen three different types of butterflies this morning - and the lavender isn’t even out yet, when we get hundreds of butterflies around the pool! There are still weeks available to rent this summer - very unusual for here! Come and enjoy this idyllic corner of France, bring family and friends for a wonderful holiday in this most relaxing medieval Priory and garden

Chinon is a must to visit. On the banks of the wide River Vienne, with picturesque, elegant medieval white stone buildings, elegant squares, statuesque tree lined roads and great boutique shops, it’s a full day out. Oh, and the massive chateau isn’t to be missed! But a stop for lunch at Les Années 30 is a must. Beautiful interiors, delicious food and great staff. If you are staying at the Priory we’ll even book for you. Just one of the little added extras we love to do for our guests!
