It’s that time of the year again! Almost every year we celebrate Christmas in the mountains and New Years with friends in Beaujolais. It might be my favorite vacation.

This year, we also take a little break from social media. Spend less time on the phone, more time enjoying the view.

BEAUJOLAIS WINE JOURNEY - ‘on the trail of gamay’.

Wijnliefhebbers opgelet!

Van 2 t/m 6 oktober laten we je graag onze prachtige regio zien!

Wat je van deze wijnreis kunt verwachten:

🍇 Donderdag: Proeverij bij aankomst + welkomstdiner

🚲 Vrijdag: Heerlijk ontbijt waarna we de fiets opstappen om de Beaujolais te ontdekken. We lunchen uitgebreid bij een toprestaurant

🧘‍♀️ Zaterdag: Tijd voor jezelf

🍷 Zondag: We proeven vandaag alle 10 Beaujolais Cru’s. In de avond testen we elkaars kennis tijdens een gezellige (proef) pub quiz.

👀 Volg het fermentatieproces live – de oogst van 2025 is dan aan het bubbelen!

Domaine Lachat - seven years our home

When we found her, not many people could see the potential. Honesty only Thijs could see through all the renovation work she needed.

And look at her now! Our vineyards are green and alive. The old barn is our living kitchen with the view that we dreamed of.

Our guests are happy in the 4 gîtes that we build. Life is celebrated with wine and BBQ nights around the pool. Old friends come to stay with us and new friendships are born here.

Our only wish is to stay here for many more years to come….

It’s official!

Today we received our organic certification!

When we started working our vineyards in 2020 our goal was to revive the soil, make the plants healthy and thriving again. Plant trees, sow clover and use animals for natural fertilization. Just a few things we do to harvest beautiful and healthy grapes.

Proud of the work we put in and happy to add the organic certification to our labels!

Pourquoi-Pas?

Why not has been our answer to a lot of questions in life. From ´a glass of wine?´ on a sunny Monday afternoon to ‘let’s move to France!’ and ´want to make wine?’

What is the worst thing that could happen?

So it was only time before Pourqoui-Pas made it on to a winelabel.

A co-fermentation between Chardonnay and Gamay… Because why not???

Harvested September 2023, blanc and rouge macerated together to incorporate the freshness of the Chardonnay with the fruit and structure of Gamay.

This BLOUGE is the perfect drink for this summer. Serve chilled, sip with your eyes closed glazing in the sun.

Welcome to the Lachat family!

Adopted two Kune Kune pigs today. Welcome to Beaujolais Pumba and Poppy!

In the future we plan to let them in the vineyards, for now first cuddle time to get to know each other.
