Bergerac Airport opened yesterday!

Après plus de trois mois de fermeture, le trafic a redémarré, ce vendredi, sur le tarmac de Roumanières. En provenance de Londres, Rotterdam et Bruxelles, trois avions se sont posés ce vendredi

Issigeac is a lovely village, really popular for the Sunday market. It is just 15 mins from Les Chauprenades.

Confinement has been continued until 11 May when the plan is that the children will return to school. Borders remain closed until further notice. A new section of vineyard has been planted round the corner, don’t you love the stripes! The garden has been lush, but after little rain for a few weeks, is starting to go. We are having to water.

We are permitted to walk Lily once a day, within 1 km of the house. The winemakers set fires to chase the cool morning air away from their vines, cherry blossom and irises bloom in the garden. Spring is not cancelled!

We hope that you are well and coping with the current strange predicament we all find ourselves in. We know you will be anxious about the situation in general, and will also be hoping you will be able to continue with your planned holiday.

Should it not be possible for you to travel, in light of the virus restrictions, we will of course refund your deposit. We would not ask you to pay the balance of your holiday, in the normal way, 8 weeks before your visit, while this uncertain situation continues. We will keep your booking in place, and review the situation with you, nearer the time of your planned visit.

Other than essential shopping, like you, we are confined to the house. Fortunately we are able to go for a walk with Lily, and are occupying ourselves with the garden which requires a lot of attention at this time of year. Here are a few photos for you.
