We did some serious flower-pot planning at last Friday's market, just to make the garden pretty for our summer guests. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you are thinking of a last minute trip to South West France, we still have availability in late Spring and in the summer. A bientôt dans le Gers!

The programme for Jazz in Marciac is out, and you should book our gite quickly if you want to stay in the area and catch all this wonderful jazz! The weather is likely to be good and the gite is quiet and comfortable, and an excellent base to explore the region and take in lots of jazz in Marciac! PM me if you are interested in a stay for 2-4 people. I can do breakfast and delicious locally sourced meals too. Looking forward to seeing you in the summer!

There's some last-minute availability in the gite, starting the 2 September, so there is still time for guests to take advantage of the sunny weather and amazing market produce and all at a reduced rate. Please PM us if you are thinking of a last-minute break in Gascony! Two-night minimum stay and reduced rates for the week. Marciac with its international jazz festival is just a hop, skip and jump away from the gite and this year, our guests were able to take advantage of all the festival offers and come home to our peaceful holiday flat. Every year the festival gets better and better so think about reserving well in advance. Here is a lovely tribute to the festival and to the warm and welcoming people of the Gers, by Wynton Marsalis, who comes here every year.
