Sansoucis is a former 17th century church and convent transformed into a luxurious Chambres D'hôtes set in an oasis of calm in the region of the South of France.

We offer five delightful rooms with ensuite facilities in a magical house surrounded by beautiful gardens and a pool.

Come and enjoy the shade of the Moroccan cabana. Sit by the fountain under the auspices of the life-size Madonna on the roof, or socialise on the terrace at Johnny’s Bar with other guests.

The house is located in the centre of a busy traditional wine-making village, 30 minutes from the Mediterranean and the local National Park. We are a 30 minute drive from Beziers airport and 45 minutes from Montpellier.

Roujan (our home village) lies halfway between the mountains and rivers of the National Park and the beaches of the Mediterranean sea. Our nearest and biggest town (7 minutes drive) is the magnificent and ancient Pezenas, the original capital of the Languedoc and the home of the great playwright Moliere. During the summer months this areas well kept secret is fun, lively and bustles with traders, artists and international tourists.

Our story

Sanssoucis was originally a humble church built in 1650 and was further extended and became a school in the mid 19th Century. It has now been sensitively and extensively restored and operates as a peaceful and luxurious retreat for visitors to our area in the summer and a residential training site for acupuncturists in the spring and winter.

Sanssoucis offers five bedrooms in an exceptional and magical house surrounded by large walled gardens offering total privacy from the outside world. The gardens offer ample space to relax and enjoy the sun by the pool and summer kitchen or enjoy the shade of the Moroccan cabana.
