This is the Château de Colombe in St. Baudel, France. We are Patrick and Stuart and we are renovating this 16th, 17th, and 18th century french chateau.

In this episode, Patrick and Stuart continue working on the renovation of the Château Louis XV Suite. They do some final work on the baseboards (skirting) and then begin moving the furniture back into the completed bedroom suite. Patrick adds the fabric for the ceiling (sky) of the bed crown, and wires it for the curtains. They meet up with friends Tony, Jane, Richard, and Eve to go shopping at an annual brocante (flea market) in the French town of Saint-Amand-Montrond.

In this episode, Patrick and Stuart continue working on the renovation of the bed and breakfast suite bedroom. Patrick adds the eye hooks to the bed crown to prepare for the wire and curtains. Stuart uses a silicone mold to create decorative pieces for ornaments that will be used in the new suite. Then Patrick applies the sizing and does the leaf gilding to the bed crown frame.

In this episode, Patrick and Stuart continue working on the renovation of the bed and breakfast suite bedroom. Patrick cleans the giant Persian rug that will go into the bedroom suite. They make a trip to a local Emmaus (charity thrift store) to shop for possible bargains, and then come back to begin work on the large bed crown for the bedroom suite. Stuart creates a silicone mold and then uses it to replace the missing pieces in the decorative trim, while Patrick removes the old felt, fabric, and staples. They have a dilemma on the next step of the bed crown to either paint it or use gold gilding. What do you think?

They continue with the final steps to refinish the original 17th Century parquet wood floor using two coats of Gilboy's Hard Oil Wax. Patrick also helps out the wildlife at the chateau by supplying water for them during the summer drought.

Patrick and Stuart then install all of the gold bathroom accessories to finish off the luxury bed and breakfast suite.

In this episode, Patrick and Stuart continue working on the renovation of the bed and breakfast suite bedroom. Patrick finishes painting the interior window shutters and doors. They clear out the large bedroom to prepare for the restoration and refinishing of its original 17th Century parquet wood floor. Patrick starts sanding away the decades of old wax build-up and prepares it to reveal the original beautiful wood details. Patrick and Stuart also work in the chateau orchard to pick a harvest of plums, and Patrick does some repairs to the cracks in the chateau doors caused by the summer heat.

Donna and Patrick clean up a buffet in the north wing of the chateau to use as storage for Patrick's jams and preserves. Stuart finishes the detail work on the chapel door. Patrick and Stuart travel to the nearby French town of Touchay, where they shop at one of the summer season's biggest brocantes. They find a few bargains and share the results.

Donna is continuing her work to help restore the chateau chapel, and this time she has brought her son Michael and his girlfriend Megan. They work together to empty out the remaining debris from the chapel, and then begin the process of removing the damaged slate floor that was incorrectly set in concrete. What they reveal underneath is the original chapel floor that has not been seen for centuries!
