BAAH OUI!! We invest in a good grinder. “The grinder is as important as the coffee machine itself”, advice from one of our guests.

We taste four coffees from a roastery in Montluçon and found our winner: Terre d’Afrique.

From now on you’ll find Terre d’Afrique in your flat white, cortado, cappuccino, espresso or allongé at Domaine Bonneblond.

Bonneblond Bore·dom (noun) : The feeling of having nothing that immediately captures your attention or occupies your mind.

A tent in nature. A place where you can be bored. 70 hectares of boredom. No screen demanding your attention. No schedule calling your name. No notifications competing for your time.

That first uncomfortable hour when you do not know what to do. The moment you instinctively reach for your phone. The silence that asks something from you. And often, that is where something else begins : A swim, a conversation, awalk, a book, a fire, thought that finally has room to grow.

Boredom is not always the absence of stimulation. Sometimes it is the space where something new can emerge.

Today we welcome 6 new chickies to the domaine! Boy takes great care of the chickens and gives them logs to peck for insects and bricks to climb on and play with. Bienvenue, les poulettes! 🐔

More good news! From July 7th until the end of August, we’ll be serving takeaway meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Homemade lasagna on Tuesday or chicken souvlaki with fresh pitas and salad on Thursdays.

A real holiday means no cooking, no washing up, and more time to relax 🙆🏼‍♀️💜

Petite Bonneblond has a cozy, charming interior with a typical French atmosphere. Before our neighbor Thomas lived here, the house was owned by the mayor of the village. All bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, as the property was originally designed and built to operate as a bed and breakfast.

The pace of life here is slower: more time outdoors, more nature, and more of the authentic French countryside lifestyle. Does that sound like something that suits you?

This morning’s Croissant Creations (with local dough) workshop during Toddler Week took a slightly unexpected turn 🥹

While experimenting with our new gas oven, led to an over enthusiastic baking result. The croissants a little more golden than intended.

Fortunately, we prepared extra croissants, allowing us to quickly create a beautiful new batch. Most importantly, no harm was done, spirits remained high, and the kitchen is still very much intact.

A merci to our flexible families for their patience and bonne humeur.

Now we have just one question left: who can claim the title of best croissant baker in town? 🥐

The facilities and the number of bookings continue to grow. Just as the vegetables, fruits and flowers in our garden. The garden which was carefully grown with lots of passion and love by Lideweij. Dreaming of filling your plates at our table d’hote throughout the season and beyond.

As seasons change, things change. Unfortunately some of our dreams are not meant for this timing. Therefore, Lideweij has decided to say goodbye to her role as garden witch at Bonneblond.

Luckily, she will remain involved with Bonneblond Biosphera and continue her role as chairwoman.

Together we have built, created and dreamed. Merci madame, for your incredible dedication, energy and commitment.

We wish you all the luck and energy in your next adventure 🫶🏻
