Sadly Rivervew Gites has now come to an end. We took the decision a while ago to sell as living in the UK it was becoming more difficult to travel back and forth, so we felt it was time to move on. We have met some lovely people over the 15 years we lived there and during the 10 years of running the gites and bar we have welcomed many many guests who we have enjoyed socialising with and catering for. We have had some amazing nights at The Rustic Retreat and our guests have been so lovely and friendly and lots of fun, which makes us feel sad that we probably won’t see them in the same situation again and some we remain in contact with now (you know who you are).
We have enjoyed running the gites and bar and I am sure when we finally leave it all there will be some tears especially closing the bar. As a family it has been an experience we have all enjoyed but with Georgie and Billy growing into young adults and wanting and needing different things it was time to call it a day.
A massive thank you to all of our guests for your support and encouragement and kind words, thankyou to the many returners who have enjoyed their stay time and time again.
If you are ever in the same area in the summer give us a call and we will be so glad to see you for a catch up and a few drinks.
