Exciting 3 days in the Pays Basque 🚴🎉
The Tour de France started in Bilbao on July 1 and will travel through Saint Jean de Luz on July 3.

This past Sunday, Saint Jean de Luz celebrated « Fete Dieu » or “Thé Feast of Corpus Christi”. The processional route is laid with flowers from the Église Saint Jean Baptiste to the Place du College (just in front of the hotel!). Special thanks to Bruno and Pierre for helping to decorate our balconies whilst decorating the square. Our guests enjoyed viewing this small local tradition from their balconies. 🤗

We’ve made it into the latest edition of guide of the Basque Country! Jen grew up watching Rick’s travel shows on PBS in the US so this means a lot to her. Most of our guests visiting from English speaking countries carry one of these guides through our door so it’s a big boost to have the recommendation. 🤗
As a side note, the part about “good fans” made us pause for a minute - does it mean we have people that like us? Oh, it means we have good fans in the rooms!

Spring has Sprung! Tourist season has started. Adding to the list of fabulous things about Saint Jean de Luz is the care the gardeners give to the many flower boxes all around town. They are truly beautiful. 🤗🌸🌷🌼
