We are a small friendly language centre. Attending classes is only part of learning a language. It is perfect for busy people too.

We offer half day, full day, week-end and weekly language immersion courses in French and English for all levels and for children aged from 12, young people, business people and anyone else! You can also choose an immersion language stay if you have just moved to France or simply for personal development. It is a fast and fun way to learn a language whatever your level (beginner to advanced). The key is talk and more talk in a variety of situations in a stress free and safe environment. Dans un marché du travail qui globalise tout autour de nous, des compétences linguistiques supplémentaires peuvent non seulement être un atout pour votre entreprise mais aussi vous aider à briller dans votre propre communauté. Assister à des cours en classe est seulement une partie de l’apprentissage d’une langue. Our story

We are a small B & B “Belle’s Retreat”, located in Saint-Jean de Sauves, a typical French village situated just inside the department of Vienne (86), bordering departments – Indre et Loire (37), Main et Loire (49) and Deux – Sèvres (79). We are registered with the French authorities Siret No. 83483104200017 and we have 5,000,000€ public liability insurance.

The climate is warm and sunny. The area has a lot to offer from Saumur in the north to Limoges in the south: nature reserves, forests, museums, castles, parks, theme attraction parks (we have Futuroscope 30 kms, Center Parcs 35 kms and the world famous Puy-du-fou parc 95 kms away amongst others) various zoos and we are ideally suited for visiting the six historical cities of Vienne – Poitiers, Chauvigny, Loudun, Châtellerault, Civray and Montmorillon.

If you are looking for sporting activities walking, biking, fishing, shooting, horse riding and nautical sports are very popular. Due to the vibrant colours of our scenery, vast array of wildlife and architecture, it makes our area a photographer’s paradise too!

Above all we are near the Loire valley, only two hours away from the coast by car. Paris and Bordeaux can be reached by the TGV from Poitiers train station (30 kms) in less than two hours.

We have three bedrooms on offer to you, all situated on the first floor with access via staircase, (shared bathroom with bath / shower and toilet on the first floor and a guest toilet on the ground floor also). Our prices are very competitive and without seasonal variations. All of our beds are custom made contract beds by @bedguruUK (www.bedguru.co.uk) and shipped over from the UK. They are made to the highest Crib 5 rating for fire resistance. The design is the Ottoman so there is plenty of storage available!

We have 1 x super king-size double room (55€) per night and 2 x twin rooms (55€) per night. The price includes a light breakfast where we aim to use fresh and local produce thus supporting our local community. Breakfast will be a combination of sweet and savoury foods.

You also have two rooms at your disposal which are situated in the adjacent Gîte where you can relax / chill out. You will find books, board games and TV with DVD player. There is also a small fridge and hot drink making facilities.

Our courtyard is totally secluded and secure away from prying eyes, you are welcome to use either of our barbecues, the barn which contains table tennis, table football and some outdoor games.

We also have a secure garage that you can store / lock up bicycles, Canoes / Kayaks or fishing equipment. You will also have access to an outside tap should you need to rinse any items on your return from the day’s adventure.

You can either park your vehicle(s) in the car park 20 metres away or in the street.

The nearest airports are Poitiers or Limoges. You can also reach us by train via the TGV Paris – Poitiers.

Should you want to improve your French / English we can offer you immersion language activities / workshops.

We welcome you in all simplicity and wish that you feel at home with us. During your stay do not hesitate to ask us anything. We are at your disposal and we can also offer you a historical guided tour.

We speak fluent French, English and conversational German.
