This self-contained Suite in the garden has its own entrance. Double height, the Suite has an upstairs bedroom which makes for a very comfortable and snug getaway. The original terracotta tiles and stone staircase work beautifully with the antique linens and furnishings. Travelling alone or with a small child, this Suite is totally private but with full access to the main house and courtyard garden.

Upstairs and secluded the Framboise Suite has its own sitting room adjacent to the bedroom and bathroom. This Suite, high away from the hustle and bustle of Saint Rémy de Provence, overlooks the cobblestoned, rue du 8 Mai. The Suite is charming with its original rustic beams and antique cupboards in the dressing area. A large sofa bed in the adjoining sitting room makes this an ideal retreat for a couple, friends travelling together or a small family.

On the second floor, the Ivoire Suite has intimate views over the private garden at La Maison du Village, past terracotta rooftops beyond and towards the bell tower of the village church. The sitting room, connecting bedroom and bathroom make this Suite a wonderful getaway. Vintage linens cover the antique daybed and armchairs and the bathroom has original 18th century Provencal tiles. Original window shutters and soft linen curtains shut the world out and ensure a perfect night’s sleep.

The Rose Suite, on the first floor consists of sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. The sitting room and bedroom look out over the secret garden at La Maison du Village and the bathroom has a commanding view of the village church in Saint Rémy de Provence. Traditional vintage linens, antique terracotta floors and French Provencal furnishings form part of this suite’s décor.

The Violette Suite is on the first floor and overlooks the cobblestone streets of Saint Rémy de Provence. There are two spacious bedrooms and an adjoining bathroom. This is an ideal space for a couple or family to stay. The Suite, with original terracotta flooring, antique furnishings and vintage linens is decorated with Vicki’s personal decorative pieces.

The story behind La Maison du Village is one of serendipity. Vicki fell in love with this delightful 18th century town house when she first came to Provence in early 2000.

She had always admired the hotel and recommended it many times to friends as the place to stay when visiting Saint Rémy de Provence. In 2009 she featured La Maison du Village in French Essence, never thinking one day the hotel would become such an important part of her life.

David and Vicki acquired the hotel in 2017. They have since refurbished the Suites and set about making La Maison du Village as welcoming and as comfortable as a home away from home can be, while at the same time, retaining its original characteristics and traditional Provencal nature.

Vicki regards La Maison du Village as her home and has styled the house with many of her personal objects, books and paintings. Her team share her vision for La Maison and will work together to create memorable stays for their guests.

La Maison du Village is a restored boutique hotel in the heart of Saint Rémy de Provence.

Our Suites consist of a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. Vintage linens cover the beds, Diptyque perfumes fragrance the rooms and every care has been given to comfort. The suites are generous in size and luxurious in every way. The bedrooms, sitting rooms and bathrooms are decorated in an understated French style with splendid fixtures and fittings.

The secret garden in the middle of the village makes La Maison du Village a peaceful and restorative place to stay. The private garden, with views towards the village church is a respite after a long day exploring Provence. The garden is the perfect place to read, enjoy a cocktail or relax with family and friends.
