Saint Remy sur Creuse is a peaceful village in the department of Vienne which is in the Poitou Charentes Region. The village is very close to the towns of Descartes and Chatelleraux. Whether you like heritage sites, walking, cycling, water, leisure activities,arts and crafts, nature discovery, there is sure to be something to suit everybody. The Poitou-Charente region has a great climate all year round - hot summers and mild winters. The average temperature in the summer months is 25°C. Places of interest are abundant in this area - Poitiers which has much to offer to art and history lovers, Chatellault, Angles-sur-L'Anglin, Leugny. There is so much to do in the local area and with close driving distance. The region is home to the second largest theme park in France, Futuroscope, which is synonymous with the moving image, offering thrill seeking attractions, interactive visits and supersize action; a fantastic day out for all. If you are an animal lover then take a trip to Monkey Valley, where you can get up close to over 400 primates as there are no cages or fences!! If sports is your thing then Saint-Cyr Park is the place for you, with a 9-18 hole golf course which has a fantastic clubhouse and restaurant, and a gorgeous lake where you can enjoy supervised swimming and a beach club for the kids in the summer; a sailing centre where you can windsurf, sail a catamaran, go waterskiing, canoeing and kayaking or enjoy paddle boats; rent a mountain bike or play beach volleyball, soccer or rugby; play football or tennis or visit the childrens playground. The nearby spa town of La Roche Posay is both a charming village and the most important skin care spa centre in Europe. Closer to home is Ethni cité - a troglodyte village of cave dwellings. And if you just want to relax and read, our spacious shared riverside garden is the perfect place to while away the hours!
