The chalet is also available for self-catered holidays all year round. mber. Our 5 bedroom chalet (sleeping 10) in the Savoie region of the French Alps is well appointed with its recent renovation in 2012 leading to the stylish yet traditional surroundings. Chalet Mathilde is situated in a hamlet of just 3 chalets meaning that we are away from the hustle and bustle of more touristy areas yet are situated under 10 minutes from the traditional town of Bourg St Maurice, with its 7 minute funicular to the popular ski resort; Les Arcs. The resorts of La Plagne, Sainte Foy, La Rosière, Val d’Isère and Tignes are also all within easy reach. The position of the chalet makes for a perfect base for activity based holidays throughout the summer months, such as road cycling, hiking, mountain biking and water sports.

If you're in the Tarentaise Valley this summer and fancy a day hiking, we would highly recommend a beautiful hike to Lac du retour. Bit of a climb. However, the pay off is magnificent 😁
