Band of Brothers House

And so the end of a chapter in our lives... the Band of Brothers House went through yesterday, we are now officially retired.

Thibault & Guillaume have bought it and are continuing exactly as we set it up - Thibault I’ve known since he was 6 now in his mid twenties lives in the same village as us - I think we possibly will be involved if there are any language situations! Thibault does speak English though.

2002 we opened our 1st rental - Mike turns 70 this year it’s time we had some time to do the things we keep promising ourselves to do, once covid is over, like go and see music festivals and fetes that run all through the summer here in France every weekend instead of waiting for people to arrive, cleaning, washing and ironing!

Yesterday down on the Marais

We are in the heart of a national park https://parc-cotentin-bessin.fr/
The Marais is just starting to come up, another couple of weeks the horses & cattle will need to be rounded up - evidence with wheel marks some have already been taken in, the resident swans are in place ready for more water and the migratory ones will be here in another few weeks

So imagine we all are back to normal and you could travel to Normandy to see the D Day Landing Beaches, Bayeux etc. Then travel 35 minutes up to Cherbourg and hop on a ferry direct to Ireland ... check into my cousins 4 star place - the house my Grandfather was brought up in by my Great Grandmother ... her photo is on the Grand piano! https://www.facebook.com/195618644506924/posts/799634647438651/?vh=e&extid=0
