After many years of welcoming guests to our Chambres d’Hôtes, we have decided to close this chapter of our lives. However, if you loved staying here, the good news is that you can now rent our beautiful villa and have the whole place to yourselves, but obviously you have to make your own breakfast! Après de nombreuses années passées à accueillir des hôtes dans nos chambres d'hôtes, nous avons décidé de clore ce chapitre de notre vie. Cependant, si vous avez aimé séjourner ici, la bonne nouvelle est que vous pouvez maintenant louer notre belle villa et avoir tout l'endroit pour vous, mais évidemment vous devez faire votre propre petit déjeuner !

However, if you loved staying here, the good news is that you can now rent our beautiful villa and have the whole place to yourselves - fully air-conditioned, 3 double bedrooms each with en-suite, large living/dining/kitchen area, but obviously you have to make your own breakfast and do your own dishes! 😁

A week ago today our beautiful boy, Sam, who had suffered several strokes in the last year, left us as we said our tearful goodbyes. For anyone who stayed at La Bergerie de Laval, Sam was the welcoming committee, always ready with his ball, waiting for it to be thrown. Guests who were hesitant of dogs on arrival were firm friends with Sam by the time they left … he could win anybody over! So now our nutty, ball obsessed, loveable boy is at peace over the rainbow bridge, no doubt wanting someone to throw his ball! 🌈🎾🎾💔

Following Sonia having had an accident at the beginning of August followed by three major surgeries, we have decided to give up our bed & breakfast business. However, we will be offering our beautiful property for summer holiday rentals, so if you are interested, please don’t hesitate to get in touch through messenger.

Happy birthday to our lovely boy, Sam … 15 today! After a couple of strokes recently, he’s doing okay, is still loving life and enjoys a walk every day.

A week ago, our lovely Sam, had a stroke. We feared the worst at the time, thinking we were going to lose him, but this boy had other ideas and a week later, he’s made a great recovery. In fact the steroids he’s currently taking seem to have turned his clock back a few years and he’s wanting to play ball again and bouncing with energy! He’s looking forward to his 15th birthday in a few weeks’ time …..
