Grazie! Prego!

And that's where my Italian vocabulary stops. As a huge fan of Italy, Italians and Italian food I was pleasantly surprised to discover that an Italian restaurant down the road had opened.

I, Judith, went with 3 friends, all food-, wine- and dog lovers. Basically nothing could go wrong. And nothing went wrong!

Cosy dining area, charming Italian family, beautiful lagotto and hound and very yummy food.

A set menu of 4 starters, pasta dish, main course and dessert were served. Unfortunately we couldn't roll down the hill... glad the car could get us back up the hill 😉 Stuffed, but not to full, just perfect.

Highly recommended, all dishes are on the photo as the menu and price.

GO and enjoy is my advise!

We had a special first this week at Aux Petits Lardons 🚲⛺

Our very first cyclists traveling with their tent stayed with us! While we’re located along the Vélo82 route, these guests were actually doing their own adventure and not following the official route — which makes it even more fun.

It’s always something special to welcome travelers who explore at their own pace, choosing their own path and carrying everything they need along the way.

If you’re passing through — whether you follow the Vélo82 or create your own route — you’ll always find a warm welcome, a place to rest, and a bit of peaceful countryside here 🌿

Au Brûlot

A restaurant, but also a bar and a place for live music (and a rugby supporter!) And the best thing? Only 5 minutes away from us!

We visited last Friday evening and we had a lovely evening. Good local produced food, very generous portions, wines, cocktails. Everything you need to start your weekend.

To give you an impression of what we had for dinner: tapas as a starter: foie gras, camembert and sausage. The mains couldn't be more classic in the South west: margret, porc noire and steak. No dessert as we're all stuffed

The preparations for the season have officially begun Aux Petits Lardons 🍽️✨

Yesterday we tested some classic dishes with friends — because our guests deserve the best!

On trial:
🦐 Traditional shrimp cocktail
🍫 Chocolate mousse with a touch of fresh orange zest

Lots of tasting, tweaking and happy faces around the table. We think we’re on the right track… 😉

Found another gem for our challenge. We had to make a visit to Toulouse to pick up my new hi-fi Harman Kardon amp, the other half wanted to shop at Ikea. This had lunch written all over. I picked just a 10 minute drive from the yellow/blue monster. But priorities first : amp . ✔️ Lunch next. The place was packed, first they couldn't find my reservation, I forgot I booked it under my Ramone alias. We had a nice table in the middle of the nicely decorated restaurant that covers 3 rooms and a nice boutique with wine, pâte and other delicacies. For starters we had a leek tagliatelle with salmon, the main course was slow cooked beef with seasonal veggies and for dessert a biscuit with mascarpone and coffee sorbet that went really nice with the Armagnac. Everything was just perfect! Next stop.....ahhh forget about that.

Tour de Tietema vs Tour de France

🚴‍♂️ On July 8th, something rather special will happen here.

The Tour de France will pass along our road Route de Mirande — right in front of Aux Petits Lardons. For a few magical moments, the country road will fill with colour, energy and applause… and then, just as quickly, it will return to birdsong and open skies.

We love that contrast.
We are a very small campsite with only six pitches, so everything here stays personal and peaceful. After the excitement of the race, you can retreat to:
✨ super showers
🌿 beautiful nature
🏊 a swim in the pool or the river
🥚 fresh eggs in the morning
🐶 special dogfield
🚶 an easy walk into the village

Our 4-person villa is also still available if you prefer a little extra comfort.
