Some Monday mornings are highly productive.

Ours began with Daniel, our local farmer, arriving in his mighty Kubota tractor to harrow the winter paddocks, while George followed behind making sure everything was set just right.

Meanwhile, Scaredy-Cat and Mama Cat had heard the unmistakable sound of the coffee machine and were waiting patiently for their daily caticcinos. Naturally, a Mamaccino was required for me too.

After breakfast, the girls took up their usual positions on the front steps to keep watch for Granny Cat, our elusive feral visitor, who always seems to know exactly when fresh biscuits have been served.

Later, Scaredy-Cat requested her regular grooming session, flopping onto her back and squeaking until she received a quick combing on her favourite sofa blanket.

It's no wonder it takes so long to get anything done around here!
