ENGELSK: There are only four or five Châteaux in France with a history like Château Marzac, which is classified as "Monument Historic" in France and by Unesco as "World Heritage". The Estate consists of the historical castle, a 16th Century Dove Cot and a Chapel dedicated to St. All of this is set in some of the most beautiful wooded countryside in France. The castle itself rests on a high cliff overlooking the south bank of the River Vézère. In the chateau area you will find 10 beautifully renovated villas, all installed with: private pool, TV with international chanels, cd player, microwave oven, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, barbercue grill.

Well-suited for large families. A charming villa, halfway built into the rock. Absolutely private pool with a view of the fields, the rocks and the river. Perhaps one of the most “hidden away” villas in France. Therefore it was used for the peace negotiations between Henry Kissinger and French civil servants during the Vietnam War. A large safe bears witness to this period in time.

The villa was originally the castle's staff's lodge, but has yet the appearance of a ‘small villa' with a wonderful view to the rocks with caves, river Vezere and the small Tursac village.

Ground floor: seperate kitchen, sitting room, dining room, 2 big sleeping rooms with double beds. One big bathroom (shower) with toilet. And washing room with toilet.

This is a villa suited for a small family (5 max). From the kitchen and dining room you can enter a lovely terrace with a grill area. There is a fantastic, almost meditative view of the hilly landscape, and far away you can discern the nearest farm. On the lawn a private swimming pool is situated where you can enjoy your private sunbaths all day.

Former villa of the castle's wine farmer, who looked after the grapes on the slopes facing the river Vézère. Fertiliser for the vineyards was taken from the impressive dovecot by the castle.

Located above the maize fields facing the Vézère River with a fine view of the forest and the open sky. Lovely, old farm house. Beautifully and very gently restored to preserve its original appearance. The centre or heart of the villa is the large common room that contains a hall, a kitchen, a large dinner table and soft sofas in front of the fireplace. On the ground floor there is a bathroom with a bathtub, and in each end of the villa there are large double bedrooms.

First floor: two double bedrooms and a bedroom with three single beds plus and a bathroom (shower). When the villa is being used in summertime, the large common room works really well with the outdoor area in front of the villa with a lawn, a terrace and a private swimming pool and makes up a harmonic whole, that makes it easy for large families to stay in the same place.

Originally the shepherd’s house turned into a villa, beautifully restored. From the terrace and the private pool there is a lovely view of the impressive heron colony on the opposite side of the Vézère River and of the fields and the rocks.

Until 400 years ago Fournil was the bakery in town. The original, large stone-oven is beautifully integrated in the charming living- and dining environment. There is a beautiful view of the fields and the forest with the chateau Marzac in the background. Here you can enjoy life privately; there are no neighbours or neighbour opposites and the villa, located at the end of a blind road.
