It’s an interesting story that lead me to Uzès. An eight day horse ride, inn-to inn through the south of France, had us passing very near Uzès. Having fallen in love with the terrain, the quaint old towns filled with wonderful history, and the general simple yet rich way of life, I was determined to have a house in the region. A google search for hidden gems in the south of France led me to Uzès. We were Americans living in Switzerland so it was easier to have the dream of a Pied-à-terre that was only a few hours away by car or train. I clearly remember the day I walked into town for the first time to find my house. La Maison des Rêves was an easy decision. I knew in an instant this would be the home where I would find my peace and eventually share that calm and serenity with all who came to visit.
