Evening everyone!

An eventful changeover day on 1 August as we discovered a wasps nest in the wall of the gite just before lunchtime.

Luckily we have a very good local company who came out within 90 minutes and dealt with them.

Many thanks to Guy from D.N.Guepes for his prompt service!

Well, what a difference a week or so makes from our last post.

A flurry of late bookings means we are now full until 26 September.

We have been delighted to host a group of workers contracted by SNCF to replace rail lines in the department of Manche.

They were desperate for accommodation locally due to the heatwave we are currently experiencing, and their arrival was at 0700, shortly after their reservation at 0600!

They are returning next week for a few days.

Well, the heat of last week has finally blown over and the temperature is now down from 37⁰C to a very pleasant 22⁰C or thereabouts.

Good evening everyone!

I hope you are all looking forward to the Christmas season.

We still have availability up to 22 December.

We are then closed until 2 February 2026 as we are taking a break away in Portugal to recharge our batteries.

We have availability throughout 2026 apart from 23 to 28 February, 24 May to 6 June and 14 to 28 June.

For high season we have a 10% discount for July and August bookings for 1 week or longer.

Good news!

Both Gite La Landelle and our new accommodation - Loft Studio La Landelle have been awarded 2 🌟 by the tourist office!

We are overjoyed at being rewarded for our hard work.

The gite narrowly missed out on being a 3 star property, something for us to aim for on our next assessment!

Meanwhile here's a picture of the newly laid gravel at the gite.
