From the top floor master bedroom with its crisp cotton sheets and free standing roll top bath to the stylish lounge with its panoramic wrap-around views of the surrounding snowy peaks, “Le Chalet Aux Quat’ Saisons” is both authentic and stunning. Outside extensive, enclosed, south facing grounds ensure tranquillity and privacy. The chalet is 3 mins by car to the ski lift (free parking) or a free courtesy bus passes regularly. Vaujany is a charming traditional Alpine village and one of the six resorts which comprise the world class Grandes Rousses/Alp D'heuz ski area (1200-3300m). With 249kms of wonderful pisted skiing, and endless acres of off-piste powder it is renowned for its sunshine as much as for its excellent snow record. The resort is at the same height as Val d’Isère, and the ski area soars to virtually a whole vertical mile above, at the Pic Blanc summit and the guaranteed snow of the Sarenne Glacier. Outside of the ski season, the area is well known for its excellent cycling opportunities, with the Tour de France passing close by at Alpe d'Huez, supplemented by organised road races throughout the summer. The cable car runs throughout the winter season and reopens for the summer to provide access to the mountains for walkers and hikers. Close to other activity centres, the summer allows those with the need to get out and about with lots to do, from mountain biking, to white water rafting. Voted 2nd best ski resort in the world (after Whistler!) - The top ten Ski destinations - Telegraph, Vaujany is an hours' drive from Grenoble and 90 mins from Chambery and Lyon....and just over 8hrs from Calais.
