From the comfort and cleanliness of Pant y Celyn to the warm welcome from us, it's lovely to know that all those little touches make a difference.

And we especially loved hearing that Fran the dog settled in straight away! 🐾❤️

Who says autumn isn't a wonderful time for a little getaway? 🥰

Here in West Wales, October brings beautiful colours, quieter beaches, spectacular sunsets and the perfect excuse to slow down a little.

🌊 A bracing walk along the coast, followed by fish and chips by the sea.

☕ Finding a cosy café for coffee and a slice of homemade cake.

🐬 Keeping your eyes peeled for dolphins in Cardigan Bay.

🎃 A little Halloween fun, exploring somewhere new or simply enjoying the gorgeous autumn scenery.

And our personal favourite?

🏡 Doing absolutely nothing at all! Because sometimes that's exactly what a holiday should be about. 💚

☕ 𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴?

Absolutely nowhere you need to be. 🥰💚

Imagine waking up without an alarm, putting the kettle on and enjoying your morning cuppa with this lovely countryside view.

The birds are singing, the cows are grazing in the field and the biggest decision you have to make is whether to pour another cup of tea or head out for a little adventure. 🐄🌿

No rushing. No endless to-do list. No watching the clock.

And with sunshine forecast for this weekend, it's looking like a lovely time to get out and enjoy it! ☀️

The bracken has turned beautiful shades of copper and gold, the summer crowds have disappeared and the coastal paths are wonderfully peaceful.

There's something about this time of year that makes you want to slow everything down.

🥾 Pull on your walking boots and head out along the coast.

🌊 Stop for a while and take in those incredible sea views.

☕ Find a cosy little café or pub after a morning exploring.

🍁 And enjoy the simple pleasure of being somewhere beautiful with absolutely nowhere you need to rush to.

We love West Wales in the summer, of course, but autumn has a magic all of its own.

Quieter beaches, crisp fresh air, beautiful colours and those gorgeous skies as the sun begins to set.

And sometimes, a walk with a view like this is all you need. 🥰

There’s a little bit of magic, mystery and spooky fun coming to Llanerchaeron this October half-term. 🍂✨

From 21st October, families can step into the world of Calan Gaeaf, the traditional Welsh celebration marking the beginning of winter.

🧪 Become an apprentice apothecary and follow the magical trail around Llanerchaeron, collecting ingredients to create your own protection spell.
📖 Hear tales of Calan Gaeaf from storyteller Peter Stevenson.
🍂 Explore the house with its autumnal theme before it closes for the winter.
🎲 Take shelter in the play room in the stable block.
🐷 And, of course, pop along to see the farmyard animals too.

For the slightly braver among you, there are also spooky after-dark trails, although these need to be booked in advance. 👻

One of the best things about a West Wales getaway? Finding those brilliant little local food spots. 😍

This is Cegin Manuka Street Food, a local street-food favourite serving up something a little different in Aberaeron. Cegin Manuka and pops up seasonally, with street food and weekly specials.

And we have to say, there's something rather lovely about grabbing some great food and eating it with the harbour and Cardigan Bay as your backdrop. 🌊

It's exactly the kind of place we love telling our guests about - local, relaxed and another excuse to spend an evening enjoying Aberaeron.
