She came to us with no working legs just a day old, 3 out of 4 legs now work just fine and she is the happiest lady at the Arth. We wouldn't want you any other way Pops

Being close to the sea we rarely get snow here but when we do, the cows have to make way for some serious racing!

Hi everyone. We just wanted to shed some light on something. Some of you would have seen that some of our land and Felincwm cottage etc have been put on the market with support from Morgan and Davies.

Firstly, we’re not going anywhere! 🙂

We are staying here and keeping Arth Valley Retreat as you know it. We’re keeping our home, the glamping and camping offering and we plan to evolve and concentrate on this into the future.

The reason we’ve decided to try to reduce our work load is largely down to health reasons. We’ve had a bit of a scare throughout 2025. We’re going to be ok, but it’s certainly put things into perspective.

What this will mean for us is all positive. Things like having even more quality time to spend with our children and more days off to enjoy life. Less work and more time to do the things we love. What’s not to like?

Hope that makes sense to you all like it does to us and we’d like to take this time thank you all for the amazing support you show us. We’re so lucky to have lived in this community all our lives and plan to watch our three children grow and thrive here.

If you've ever wondered if we're pet friendly....

This is Butters the Royal Python, warming himself in front of the fire in the cottage 🙌. The photo was sent to us by his lovely owners who have stayed with us 9 times now.

Not only do we not charge for pets, we also don't mind what 4, 2 or 0 legged member of the family comes along too.

Butters you're welcome back anytime, especially as you let all the kids cuddle you 😍

The most gentle soul we've ever met 😇 She will sit with you for as long as you'll let her and falls asleep while you give her cuddles. William is officially in love with this gentle giant, she even mothers all the other babies not just her own 🥹
