💛 Heartfelt Thanks to Boghead Farm Holiday Cottages💛

Lenny lives with a rare genetic condition called Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). It’s a progressive condition that primarily affects boys and causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken.

✨ Lenny’s mum shared:

“Lenny adores Scotland, so when the opportunity came up to apply for an accessible holiday here, we knew it would be perfect for him.
We surprised him a few days before with a game that told him, and he was super excited — he kept saying, ‘I can’t believe The Sandcastle Trust picked me. Wow!’

When we arrived with Lenny, his 4-week-old baby sister and our dog in tow, he was in awe of the barn. Thomas greeted us so warmly and answered Lenny’s 5.2 million questions about the farm animals, dogs and tractors!
Lenny loved getting up each morning to watch the dogs round up the sheep while eating his breakfast. The barn was accessible in every possible way and perfect for his needs.

Thank you again to Thomas and Fiona for donating the break and to The Sandcastle Trust for selecting Lenny. It was lovely to make memories together and take some day trips to Lenny’s favourite places. Here he is on Nairn Beach and relaxing on the sofa!”
