Update: with the wind dropping we will be open this morning and lunchtime to bookings only.
We will have a reduced staff therefore gym will remain closed and the bar will be unable to accommodate walk in’s/coffees.
We will keep a close eye on the weather forecast and update this afternoon. We’ll be in touch with bookings if anything changes.

As always we want to make sure our customers and staff remain safe. The strong wind weather warning means that we will be closed Saturday morning and lunchtime to non residents. This includes the sports hall and gym. There is currently several branches down on site and a lot of debris flying about. We will be following the forecast closely and make a decision early Saturday as to whether we will be open in the restaurant on Saturday evening.

Woodbank Closure Timeline

Further to the news shared on 8 July that Woodbank will be passing to new ownership later this year, please find here the timeline for the closure of Woodbank facilities over the coming months.
Below are the final dates when bookings will be taken and facilities will be open, after which these will be closed.

Sundays
Please note that on Sundays, Woodbank is now only open to residents; on this day of the week facilities are closed to members and visitors who are not staying overnight

Accommodation
25th September – bookings for bedrooms close; no further bedroom bookings after this date
10th October – bedrooms close; no further bedroom availability after this date

Conference / Meeting rooms
31st October – meeting rooms close (existing bookings will be honoured until 12th November)

Restaurant & Bar
1st November – large bookings and events close (existing bookings will be honoured)
14th November – last day of access to restaurant and bar: closes @ 2pm

Gym and Sports Centre
14th November – last day of access to the gym and sports centre; closes @ 2pm

Woodbank management and staff thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we implement these measures over the next few months.
