🏆 ONE WEEK TODAY… WE’RE OFF TO WESTMINSTER! 🏆

This time next week, we’ll be heading back to Westminster as finalists in the PubAid Community Pub Hero Awards 2026! ❤️

We’re absolutely thrilled to be a Community Support Hero finalist for Wales, and to be invited to the House of Commons for the awards reception is something pretty special. 🇬🇧🍻

👗 What on earth we’re wearing — absolutely NOT sorted! 😂

Whatever happens on the night, we’re incredibly grateful to have made it this far. Being recognised for the community work that happens here at The Halfway means such a lot to us — because none of it happens without the people who support us, join in, volunteer, turn up and generally make this little rural pub what it is.

One week to go… Westminster, here we come! 🥂🤞

We’ll be celebrating the wedding anniversary of Lord & Lady Essex, along with Mike’s birthday 🥂🎂❤️

We’ll reopen to everyone tomorrow from 12 noon, serving our fantastic Sunday lunches from 12–6pm. 🍽️

💜 Dementia & Memory Loss Friendly Opening TODAY 💜

We’re open 12–2pm today and would love to see you!

A relaxed, welcoming afternoon for anyone living with dementia or memory loss, their carers, family and friends. Individuals, groups, care homes and nursing homes are all very welcome.

🏺 WEDNESDAY | Open 10am–9pm
We’re joined all day by Whites Antiques, offering FREE valuations on your antiques, jewellery, gold, silver, medals, watches and other interesting or valuable items. Simply bring them along and have a chat with their friendly valuation team.

🍽️ The pub will be open throughout the day for drinks, our main menu and light bites — so make an afternoon or evening of it!

💜 FRIDAY | Dementia & Memory Loss Friendly Session | 12–2pm
Our monthly Dementia & Memory Loss Friendly Friday is back, with relaxed live music, friendly company and a warm welcome for anyone living with dementia or memory loss, along with family, friends and carers.

🍻 FRIDAY EVENING | Open from 4pm
We reopen to the general public from 4pm for drinks, before welcoming The Cheese Press from 6pm! 🧀🔥

Expect their amazing freshly made cheese toasties, and we’ll also be putting together a side-dish table from The Halfway so you can add a few tasty extras alongside your toastie. 😋
