Stay for the weekend! We have huts available to be able to make the most of the beach 😎

Next weekend in Abersoch we have a pirate festival taking place ☠️🦜

Join us in the village for lots of fun and activities to enjoy on Saturday and Sunday.

We will have a colouring competition taking place on the Saturday, copies can be picked up in our cafe.

We also have a DJ on on the Saturday night from 9.30pm for all the grownups to enjoy.

BEACH SAFETY:
The folks have now put all the Abersoch buoys out, the safety of all beach/water users is paramount, so worth a read if you are new to the area or getting on the water this summer:

👉It’s an Unlifeguarded beach and considered safe for swimming with no waves, currents or rips in normal conditions
👉Beach Patrol are on duty during the main season and can advise on launching, parking, registering boats and assisting with minor injuries,they can be found in their trucks on the Golf slip-way. The Barriers/gates close at 8pm.
👉Yellow buoys mark designated areas for launching, swimming and anchoring. Max speed of 4knots within yellow buoys, which is roughly a fast walking pace. Do not swim in designated launching areas.
👉Dogs are only allowed to the right of the Golf Slipway (looking at the sea) but allowed along the top of the sand dunes. The dog ban runs from 1st April - 30th Sept, the rest of the beach is dog friendly all year.
👉Always check forecasts before heading on the sea, as conditions can change quickly. Always have means of calling for help, a VHF radio or a phone in a waterproof case. Take caution with inflatables as tidal currents and offshore winds can quickly take you out to sea
👉Do not disturb wildlife, maintain a safe speed and distance when in close proximity
👉Be aware of the tide times-call us we’ll tell you, or look at the tide clock in the centre of Abersoch village on wall (Thanks Phil Brown who manages this everyday)
👉Bins are provided at each end at the top of slipway or take rubbish home, especially be careful with disposable BBQs, as the sand can stay boiling hot for sometime after and may burn feet, so need to be disposed of properly.
👉Facilities at both ends inc showers and public toilets close to the paid car parks
👉3 x excellent Beach Cafés providing ice creams, drinks and food and all sorts of beach items.

‼️If you see someone in difficulty on the sea CALL 999 and ask for the COASTGUARD

SUNNY & WARM ALL WEEKEND

Saturday: Starting with light winds, and wall to wall sunshine, so beach, boat, or paddle board you decide! No surf over the next few days but it’s a small price to pay for this lovely weather

Sunday: Looking to be similar to Saturday, plenty of warm sunshine, but there is a northerly wind set to kick in through the day which will take the edge off the temp unless you get some shelter.

Monday: Back to light winds and sunshine, but that wind, although light, will be from the east which might put a slight wobble on the ocean.
