Lovely to have the children from YSGOL Foel Gron , Mynytho visiting Castellmarch this week!

They've been learning all about the legend of King March and his horse's ears! 🐴

We even got a performance of the story from the children – and some brilliant pictures to put on the fridge! 🎨

Alex the beagle investigating a rare sight on his walk along The Warren beach this weekend! 🐶⚓️

The remains of an old wooden shipwreck, believed to be the Fosil, a 19th-century sailing vessel used to carry slate.

Usually buried beneath the sand, the wreck only occasionally makes an appearance as the sands shift. Quite a fascinating bit of local history!

And another little fact… did you know that the beach we now know as The Warren was historically known as Traeth Castellmarch (Castellmarch Beach)? It's actually still referred to by that name in some official maps and records today!

Our last guests of the season have checked out of the Log Cabin, and it’s now closed for the winter! 🌿

But it won’t be a quiet one… We’ve got some exciting renovation work starting soon, with changes planned inside and out. Don’t worry though, the views are staying exactly the same! 😍

We’ll share a few updates along the way before we reopen for Easter — and if you’ve got your eye on the Log Cabin for 2027, keep an eye on our page as we’ll be opening up more dates for bookings soon!
