Calling all Ceredigion residents!

During the month of May, adult passengers who are residents of Ceredigion will be able to travel for half price on the Vale of Rheidol Railway. Tickets may be pre-booked online (offer code: CEREDIGION) or bought over the counter: please bring proof of address to qualify.

Offer is valid on return tickets only from May 1st to 31st (inclusive) for residents of Ceredigion. Child, dog, first class, intermediate, single and museum-only tickets remain unchanged.

So for todays outing we stayed very close to home and visited our sister hotel- Gwesty'r Marine Hotel & Spa for breakfast. It gets a big thumbs up from us- a great choice available- fresh fruit salad, cereal, Llaeth Y Llan / Village Dairy yummy yoghurt, a wonderful hot buffet selection and of course, plenty of tea and toast!
And we need to give an honourable mention to the pancakes- complete with nutella!
Open to non residents daily.
Why not let them cook for you, then enjoy a strool along the prom?

Last week we took a few hours out to visit Meadow Alpacas , just 20mins drive from us. We had a fantastic few hours meeting a whole host of friendly animals and learning about them. Then we chilled out in the Alpaca Shacka with a cuppa and shared a snack with Del Boy and crew.
We can highly recommend a visit while staying with us-it's a perfect family activity-we even convinced Anti Cerys to cwtch a chicken and get over a lifelong fear!

Great news. Our fantastic local eatery- The smoke shack is open this Saturday!
It's the ideal place to grab a burger or a wrap whilst watching the 7s!
And if you grab a takeaway to bring back to Bryncarnedd- mines a bacon bap, thanks!

We're lucky to have some really fantastic, family friendly activities right on our doorstep and in the next few weeks we'll be visiting and reviewing a few of the best, so that we can give you first hand recommendations for your visit.

Here's a couple of photos from our recent visit to Fantasy Farm Park, just 20mins drive away.
They have a fabulous cafe, gift shop with lots of local products, pet handling and indoor animal barn, a huge outdoor play area, bucking bronco, tractor and trailer rides and a lovely indoor area with toddler friendly play area, a huge bouncy castle and a sand pit- and plenty more besides. We'd give it 10/10 any day!
