Wow, wow, wow h otter than hot news. Not seen at this place for 40 years but they're back. My ongoing conservation efforts have paid off.
Book a stay at the campsite next to the river and they may visit again

Pond progress, 28 loads later. (of water). There will definitely be tadpoles, waterboatmen? Ducks? Mallard. Canada geese. And of course Dragonflies.

You will need to put your phone to your ear but Woody Woodpecker can be heard across the river.

Update on Brownie.
He was walking standing like this (on left) back in Dec but now seems to have grown out of it. His front left knee still a little swollen but Laura the vet gave him some physio so will hopefully improve again
