We recently converted the 170 year old stone barn at Tanyresgair into two beautifully comfortable and spacious cottages.
Both cottages are fully insulated and soundproofed and have reclaimed wooden floors in the living areas and slate floors in the kitchens and shower rooms. We wanted to retain the character of the old welsh barn as much as possible and kept the original beams and quirky features. We also re-used and up-cycled - for instance the old wooden barn doors became mirror frames, window ledges & lintels.
They are furnished with comfortable cottagey/ shabby chic style furniture and there is lots of space for all your stuff, so you can really make yourselves at home.
The cottages are next to our traditional welsh farmhouse but your access is away from our house, so you get the benefit of having us on the premises without us getting in your way. You have total privacy and an unimpeded view of the stunning welsh landscape with the Cambrian Mountains in the distance.
