Seriously though..... thank you!
It's been a wild 11 weeks, but what has shone through the most is the kindness that people have shown..... yes there has been tough times, decisions we didnt want to have to make and then enforce BUT because of this we have stayed open and been able to continue to welcome so many wonderful guests to Silver Fern. Most of that is down to other people kindness! we have work to do this winter to try and prevent nature doing this to us again..... but we have made it so far, rain is hopefully on the way and things will soon be back to normal 🙏❤️🌿

We have had the most wonderful family here this week celebrating a beautiful wedding in Aberystwyth yesterday. Lily and Lupin couldn't wait to be one of the first to congratulate the new Mr and Mrs Davies when they returned to Silver Fern yesterday afternoon.
The whole family was so kind and thoughtful and blessed us with delicious wedding cake and flowers today. ❤️ thank you so much for trusting us with your special occasions it was an absolute pleasure to host you.

Lily and Lupin our Mini donkeys had such a wonderful day yesterday meeting Molly and Aaron and their lovely parents.

Molly and Aaron are on holiday locally from Manchester and their Mum spotted us on 4 in a bed. Both children are Autistic and absolutely LOVE animals. We had the best hour with them all eating cakes and being surrounded by donkey love.
As donkeys are so calming and regulate humans heart beats to their own, they are extremely therapeutic to spend time with.

Thanks for coming guys, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you all and see the joy the donkeys bring 🫏❤️🫏❤️

Wood fired pizza at your huts! Who's in?!?

Here's our top tips for making the best pizzas...

1. Grab your pizzas oven and pizza peel from the arm barn

2. Light your fire pit and get a good@flame going

3. Pop the pizza oven on top of your grill arm

4. Let the temp gauge go to 350-500 degrees (midnight on the gauge)

5. Slide your pizza in using the peel

6. IMPORTANT!! Turn your pizza frequently otherwise the flames will burn the bottom!!

7. Sit back, pop a beer and enjoy

It's been a bad day...... being forced to make decisions about your business that you know will have a negative affect.... through matters that are currently out of your control sucks!
Anyway.... I have had a little cry.... a cuddle with the donkeys..... Shaun has gone to beg for more water.... I'm off to the laundrette to do all the washing from today's changeovers and tommorrow is a new day!

2 years ago we had the absolute pleasure of offering a warm meal, a bed for the night and a hot bath to Paul who was half way around his SECOND lap, walking the whole of the UK solo.
His was an absolute gentleman and an inspiration to chat to.
Today I was blessed again to recieve a signed copy of his book about his life and journey. If you have ever struggled with your mental health and finding your place in this crazy world, give this a read. It's a story of resilience and finding peace and the people who he met along the way.

The best couple of days, resting , recharging and celebrating a special birthday.

Lots of people though we were mad going on a busman's holiday when we spend everyday at our own Glamping site. But the reason we built Silver Fern the way we did is because Glamping and being in Nature is totally our vibe. Our dog is an old girl now and we wanted her to have a holiday with us where she could relax and enjoy..... this place was perfect!

We are back now, recharged and ready for the rest of summer.

We love this bench....the most beautiful view of Cardigan Bay just a 5 min walk from your hut.

Our lovely friends at Morfa Buchan caravan park have 2 bench's at the start of their drive and it's the perfect spot for a view of the sunset.

Turn right out our gate and you will see a footpath sign directly on your left. Follow the field down, admiring the view, until you get to a tarmac drive. Turn left and walk up the hill and you will find the benches. Enjoy!

You can walk back the same way or keep following the road around to the left and you will be back at Silver Fern ❤️.
